摘要
The overall defects in LaMnO3+delta have been studied by powder neutron diffraction, electron diffraction, and high resolution transmission electron microscopy on a sample with the formal composition LaMnO3.158. Neutron diffraction, in combination with chemical analysis, indicates that the actual composition is La0.95Mn0.95O3. The electron microscopy results indicate that no defect clustering or crystallographic shear occurs. It is concluded that the defect chemistry of LaMnO3+delta must be described with randomly distributed La and Mn vacancies in equal amounts. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
