摘要
Intramolecular bissilylation under high pressure yields the ethene derivative 1, whose structure is not twisted about the CC bond. Its UV spectra and crystal structure suggests that the weak absorption at 361 nm is attributable to the fourfold Si substitution and not, as previously suggested for tetrakis(organosilyl)ethenes, from twisting.
