Isotherms for hydrogen adsorption on reduced EUROPT-1 (253 to 771 K) and for hydrogen desorption from EUROPT-1 (193 to 592 K) have been measured by the volumetric method over a wide range of pressure. The extent of hydrogen adsorption has also been measured by frontal chromatography. The total hydrogen chemisorption capacity of EUROPT-1, reduced below 573 K without sintering and evacuated, is 200 micromol g** minus **1. Temperature programmed desorption of hydrogen has revealed the existence of four states of adsorbed hydrogen. The most strongly held state is assigned to spillover hydrogen located, before desorption, on the support.
