1S2L2L'-1S(2)2L LINE SPECTRA IN HIGH-DENSITY, NON-MAXWELLIAN AND HIGHLY TRANSIENT PLASMAS

摘要
We explore the effects of different plasma parameters on the Li-like 1s2l2l'-1s(2)2l line emission feature. At very high density (N(e) > 10(23) cm-3 for Al), the broadening is important and 1s2l2l' level populations have readied the local thermodynamical equilibrium (LTE). The broadening is mainly due to the electrons. Moreover, we show here for the first time that spectra emitted on short timescales at less high densities (N(e) less-than-or-equal-top 5 x 10(22) cm-3 for Al) are strongly affected by non-steady-state population kinetics and also by a non-Maxwellian character of the plasma electron distribution function.
