LINEAR SOLVATION ENERGY RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ELECTROLYTE PK VALUES AND SOLVENT PROPERTIES FOR SEVERAL 2-METHYLPROPAN-2-OL COSOLVENT MIXTURES

摘要
The dissociation pK values of picric acid, tetrabutylammonium picrate, bromide and hydroxide tetramethylammonium hydroxide in some 2-methylpropan-2-ol-cosolvent mixtures were determined correlated with the Taft and Kamlet solvatochromic parameters pi*, delta, alpha and beta. The results show the most important solvent properties that affect electrolyte dissociation are polarity, polarizability and hydrogen bond acidity. These results were confirmed by analysis of published literature data.
