摘要
Burns are a significant cause of hospital admission in African countries. This study illustrates that the factors contributing to the burn injury, the susceptible populations, the hospital conditions and the causes of mortality are different from those experienced in the West. Suggestions to reduce the risks and improve first aid treatment of burns are discussed. © 1990.
