摘要
We have performed Monte Carlo (MC) simulations with the Ising approximation to calculate the magnetic properties of face centered cubic (fee) Fe-Ni alloys. Only three adjustable parameters (the three pair-specific near-neighbour exchange constants) are used to calculate the main magnetic properties and their temperature, applied field, and composition dependences. Good qualitative agreement between the simulations and the measured data is achieved with J(NiNi) = 700 K, J(NiFe) = 355 K, and J(FeFe) = -25 K. Comparisons are made with calculations using mean field theory (mft) without the Ising approximation. The success of both the MC and mft calculations suggests that the fee Fe-Ni alloys are strong local moment systems and that local moment models should continue to be used to further explore their detailed behaviour.
