摘要
The various solid sorption systems based on closed cycles (in contrast with open cycles) are reviewed by stressing the complementarity between the different systems. The possibilities and the limits of these systems either in terms of coefficient of performance (COP) or in terms of cooling rates are analyzed: recent improvements in composite materials and studies on multistaged or thermal wave cycles should very soon bring these systems to competitivity. If COPs (cooling) of approximately 1 with cooling rates between 300 and 1000 W kg-1 of sorbent are actually obtained, these systems will most probably be an alternative to CFCs for refrigeration.
