摘要
A number of new ternary molybdenum (II) chlorides have been synthesized by solid state chemistry methods. These compounds belonging to three families - M**I**IMo//6cl//1//4, M//2**IMo//6Cl//1//4 and M**IMo//6Cl//1//3 - are characterized by X-ray data and their main structural features are reported. All these compounds are built from (Mo//6Cl//8)Cl//6 units including octahedral Mo//6 clusters. In the first family, these units are linked together by M**2**30 ions in octahedral Cl//6 sites whereas in the second one, the cationic sites (M//2NCl//6) are split or distorted. In the third family, the units are linked together along one direction of space by chlorine bridges and the M**30 ions lie in quasi tetrahedral sites.
