摘要
The characteristic polynomials of the Laplacian matrices of small fullerenes (C20-C40) are obtained. These polynomials are useful in not only characterizing the structures of fullerenes but also in some of their vibrational modes. The Laplacians of C20, C24, C26, C32, C36, C38 and C40 fullerenes were found to have at least one non-zero integral eigenvalue. The factorization of Laplacian polynomials of some of these fullerenes is also considered.
