DIATOMIC INTERCALATION IN LAMELLAR GRAPHITE COMPOUNDS

摘要
A new density-functional theory is presented for anisotropic two-dimensional fluids of nonspherical molecules. Results are given for anisotropic diatomic fluids. This is a model of molecular intercalation in graphite. The extra length scale associated with the chemical bond lengths is found to interfere destructively with the other features in the predicted diffraction patterns, thereby diminishing much of the intensity found in monatomic intercalant systems. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
