AN EFFICIENT SYNTHESIS OF QUINONE DERIVATIVES OF THIENO[3,2-B]THIOPHENE AND THIENO[3,2-B]THIENO[2',3'-D]THIOPHENE AND THEIR SPECTRAL PROPERTIES

The quinones of the condensed thiophenes were prepared in good yields by use of an elimination reaction of ditert-butoxy derivatives. The redox and UV-spectral properties of these compounds are demonstrated.
