摘要
A new ternary hydride Ba2MgH6 has been synthesized from a stoichiometric mixture of BaH2 and MgH2 powders. The structure was found to be isotypic with K2GeF6. The hexagonal unit cell dimensions are a = 5.7257(7) angstrom and c = 4.5148(9) angstrom. The Mg - H bond length was refined from neutron diffraction data on Ba2MgD6 to be 1.968(6) angstrom.
