摘要：

Sediments of colloidal boehmite rods have been studied with polarization microscopy to investigate the presence (and origin) of orientational order. We find, among other structures, a ''frozen'' nematic texture as well as a structure which resembles the ''oriented glass'' found in recent simulations with non-Brownian ellipsoids.
