摘要
The effective collision strengths for fine-structure transitions within the ground 3s(2)3p(2) configuration and from the ground 3s(2)3p(2) configuration to the excited 3s3p(3) configuration in Fe XIII are calculated using R-matrix approach in an intermediate-coupling scheme. The 11 LS states 3s(2)3p(2) P-3, D-1, S-1, 3s3p(3) D-3(0), P-3(0) D-1(0), S-3(0), P-1(0), 3s(2)3p3d(3)P(0), D-1(0), D-3(0) of Fe XIII are considered. The target states are represented by configuration-interaction wave functions. Rydberg series of resonances converging to the excited state thresholds are included in the calculation. Present results for collision strengths are compared where possible with available other calculations. Some significant differences are noted. The effective collision strengths are determined assuming a Maxwellian distribution of electron energies. These are listed over the temperature range (5-40) x 10(5) K.
