THERMAL BUCKLING OF CROSS-PLY COMPOSITE LAMINATES USING A 1ST-ORDER SHEAR DEFORMATION-THEORY

摘要
Thermal buckling of symmetric and non-symmetric cross-ply composite laminated beams is investigated based on a first-order shear deformation theory. Detailed analytical analysis is carried out for the thermal buckling parameter of laminated beams made out of Kevlar-epoxy, carbon-epoxy and glass-epoxy. The results are presented for various boundary conditions, lay-up sequences, slenderness ratios and transverse shear moduli.
