MAGNETIC STRAY FIELDS OF IRON-WHISKERS WITH LANDAU-STRUCTURE

摘要
THE NORMAL COMPONENT OF THE STRAY FIELD OF IRON-WHISKERS WAS MEASURED USING A HIGH RESOLVING VIBRATING-PICKUP LOOP MAGNETOMETER. THE SCANNING TRACKS ARE PARALLEL TO THE SURFACE ATA DISTANCE OF ABOUT 2 ″MU″ M. THE STRAY FIELD IS REGISTEREDAS A FUNCTION OF THE LOCUS BY AN XY-RECORDER. USING THE KERR TECHNIQUE, A LANDAU STRUCTURE WAS FOUND UP TO 3. 4 KA/M. COMPLEX STRUCTURES WERE OBSERVED IN HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS. THEPLOT OF THE STRAY FIELD IS INDEPENDENT OF THE DOMAIN CONFIGURATION AND IT IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SHAPE SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE STRAY FIELD OF SINGLE PERMALLOY BARS. THE ORIGIN OF THE STRAY FIELDS OF THE WHISKERS IS DISCUSSED.
