摘要
1. 1. Amounts of glycogen and glucose in locust haemolymph and fat body increase during the first 15 min of flight but later fall to below the resting values. 2. 2. Amounts of trehalose in haemolymph and glycogen in gut wall decline throughout flight. 3. 3. Variations in the concentrations of free amino acids in haemolymph are reported. 4. 4. The concentration of lipid in the haemolymph increases to about three times the resting level during the first hour of flight. Concurrently, the proportion of lipid oxidized increases to reach a plateau about 50 min after the beginning of flight. 5. 5. Mechanisms for the overall control of fuel utilization in the locust are discussed. © 1969.
