摘要
Several 5-deaza-10-oxaflavin (2H-chromeno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4(3H)dione) derivatives (1) were prepared in satisfactory yields through new, practical routes. These 5-deaza-10-oxaflavins showed a strong redox property in the oxidation of some alcohols to the corresponding carbonyl compounds under slightly acidic conditions, while they were reduced to the stable 1,5-dihydro derivatives. Participation of a direct hydride transfer from the alcohol was demonstrated by an experiment using deuterium-labeled alcohol. © 1990, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
