摘要
The absorption of intense, subpicosecond ultraviolet laser pulses is used to infer transport properties of extremely heated, solid density material. The resistivity of solid aluminum has been determined in the temperature range 1-100 eV. Hot material expansion has been monitored using Doppler shifts induced in the spectrum of the specularly reflected heating pulses. This electron pressure-driven expansion of the material interface has been used to estimate plasma temperatures. © 1990 American Institute of Physics.
