摘要
The most important physical features of both Raman and infrared measurements in vitreous materials can be understood in terms of a model which divides the response of the solids (molecules) into separate contributions from each interatomic bond. The calculation presented here shows that both optical measurements at low frequencies (v < 3 THz) in vitreous materials can be explained with a single coupling constant which links the optical spectra with vibrational density of states. Experimental results for vitreous SiO2 are included which support the above conclusion.
