摘要
A new adaptive controller based on a neural network for obtaining constant turning force under varying cutting conditions is presented in the paper. The adaptive force controller with on-line learning abilities can modify its performance in response to the changes of cutting conditions- As a result, feed rate is automatically adjusted in turning operations to maintain a desired cutting force level for improving productivity.
