摘要
The notion of a class of systems is formalized. The notion of an approximating class of systems is formalized with the definitions of epsilon -approximations and of epsilon -representations. Basic properties of and relationships between epsilon -representations are established. A fundamental existence theorem for epsilon -representations is proved, as well as a theorem giving epsilon -representations from epsilon -approximations. A construction of epsilon -approximations using Volterra polynomials is given.
