2-F-alkyl ethyl iodides are one of the most important starting materials in the field of organic fluorine chemistry. In this paper, we have reported the synthesis of 2-F-alkyl ethyl isothiocyanates, which are new intermediates coming directly from these iodides R(F)C2H4I. Two synthetic routes have been tried using 2-F-alkyl ethyl azides and amines.
