摘要：

The 1st documentation of the effects of a multiple personality mother on the ego functions of her child is presented. A 9 yr old boy, unaware of his mother''s 3 personalities, was referred for treatment because of difficulties in adjustment. The mother''s 2 created personalities, despite antagonism toward each other, evidenced mutual dependency needs strong enough to preclude the integration necessary to resolve both her son''s problems and her own.
