摘要
Irradiation of a benzene solution of Cp(2)Mo(2)(CO)(4) (1) and HSiMe(2)Ph results in reduction of CO to give art isomeric mixture of the trimolybdenum mu(3)-methylidyne complex (mu(3)-CH)[MoCp(CO)(2)](3) (2) with semibridging CO ligands. Crystallographic and spectroscopic analyses of 2 reveal complicated dynamic behavior by way of gearlike rotation and local rotation of the CpMo(CO)(2) unit(s) accompanying switching of the semibridging CO ligands.
