ELECTRON-IRRADIATION EFFECTS ON A LA1.85SR0.15CUO4 SINGLE-CRYSTAL

摘要
We compared superconducting properties of a La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 single crystal between before and after electron irradiation. About 100 ppm point-like defects are introduced into the crystal with the irradiation. Both irreversibility lines and hysteresis measurements indicate that the irradiation decreases the superconducting currents flowing between CuO2 layers. The flux creep activation energy Ueff (J) is proportional to g(T)ln(J), where g(T)=(1-T/Tc)n.
