ABSOLUTE INTENSITIES IN CO2 - THE LASER BANDS NEAR 10-MU-M

Absolute intensities of about 400 lines of CO2 have been measured in the region from 760 to 1100 cm-1. The squared transition dipoles and the Herman-Wallis factors for the laser bands centered at 960.959 and 1063.735 cm-1 are: {A table is presented} These results are in very satisfactory agreement with recent theoretical predictions and also with other experimental measurements. In addition to the laser bands, the two strongest hot bands at 927.2 (01111-11101) and 1071.5 cm-1 (01111-11102), the perpendicular band at 791.4 cm-1 (11101-10002), and the laser bands of 13C16O2 at 913.4 (00011-10001) and 1017.7 cm-1 (00011-10002) have also been measured. © 1992.
