PI-COMPLEXATION IN THE SOLID-STATE INDUCED BY INTERMOLECULAR HYDROGEN-BONDING

摘要
Electron-deficient heterocycles, such as the hexaazatriphenylenes, avoid pi-complexation in the solid state. We observe that interplane amide hydrogen bonding controls secondary structure and induces pi-complexation in the solid state of an organic hexaamide predisposed to avoid it.
