摘要
The Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) is embarking on a four-year luminosity upgrade program with a goal in excess of 10 fb(-1) per year. The new focusing layout at the interaction region will require replacing the CLEO tracking chambers. The CLEO collaboration will take advantage of this rebuilding of the inner detector to improve the capability for high momentum particle identification, while maintaining the excellent charged particle momentum resolution, and electromagnetic calorimeter resolution, of the present detector.
