Frequency dependent ionic conductivity in nanocrystalline CaF2 studied by impedance spectroscopy

摘要
The frequency dependent (ac) conductivity of nanocrystalline CaF2 (n-CaF2) teas measured by impedance spectroscopy between 5Hz and 13MHz and at temperatures from 390K to 500K. The real part of the conductivity at low frequencies is by more than four orders of magnitude greater than the de value of single crystalline CaF2 (s-CaF2). Moreover the activation energy is less than one third of that of the intrinsic conductivity in s-CaF2. This indicates an increased mobility of the F--ions in the interfacial regions. Complex impedance spectra before and after an annealing process are interpreted in terms of the ion dynamics in the grains and the interfaces similar to recent work on polycrystalline materials.
