A SIMPLE METHOD FOR CALCULATING DEVIATIONS FROM LOCAL THERMODYNAMIC-EQUILIBRIUM IN THE INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA

摘要
A simple method for the calculation of deviations of analyte level populations in the inductively coupled plasma from local thermodynamic equilibrium is presented. The method uses a simple two-level rate model, which incorporates the collisional and radiative rate constants. The results are presented as theoretical Boltzmann plots for iron, barium and chromium at a variety of electron densities, which are found to agree very well with experiment. © 1990.
