摘要
The 'kanban', which literally means 'cards', is an information aid to harmonious control production and inventory in a 'just-in-time' (JIT) system. Detailed description of the just-in-time system has been given in (Monden 1981 a, 1981 b, 1981 c, 1981 d, 1983 and Schonberger 1983), among many others. This paper addresses the problem of determining the number of kanbans at each stage of production.
