NMR INVESTIGATION ON THE CS2-GROWN AND BENZENE-GROWN C60 CRYSTALS

摘要
We present C-13-NMR investigation on CS2-grown crystal and benzene-grown crystal between 300K and 77K at 6.1T. The spin-lattice relaxation time T1 and the NMR linewidth demonstrate molecular rotation in both of the crystals. It is assigned that a relaxation mechanism of T1 is due to an anisotropic chemical shift modulated by the molecular rotation. The observed NMR shift, 142.9 +/- 0.8 ppm from TMS in both of the crystals, is close to those reported previously in solid C60/C70 mixture and solution. It was also suggested that a high temperature heat treatment may change the microscopic surrounding of C60 in CS2-grown crystals irreversibly.
