摘要
A two-dimensional Laplace type equation for the gas transport through a metallized polymer membrane was solved numerically. The influence on the gas permeation flux of the membrane thickness and dimensions of pinhole-shaped defects in the metal layer are discussed. The computational results are compared with experimental ones for the permeation of He, CO2, Ar and N2 through a poly(ethylene terephthalate) membrane metallized with palladium.
