Solubility isotherms in the system MgO-(NH4)2O-P2O5-H2O at 25-degrees-C were determined between pH values of 3 and 9, for MgHPO4.3H2O (newberite), Mg3(NH4)2(HPO4)4.8H2O (hannayite). Mg-(NH4)2(HPO4)2.4H2O-A (schertelite), Mg(NH4)2(HPO4)2.4H2O-B, and MgNH4PO4.6H2O (struvite). Crystallographic properties are given for the new compound Mg(NH4)2(HPO4)2.4H2O-B, a dimorphic form of the mineral schertelite.
