摘要
A uniform electric field elongates spherical bubbles to prolate spheroids. This results in a larger surface area to volume ratio for a given bubble size, and more efficient heat transfer from a superheated liquid to the bubbles during nucleate boiling. Hence bubbles should grow faster in an electric field. The bubble growth rate in an electric field is studied using the heat diffusion controlled growth model.
