摘要
Present technology permits full integration of gas turbines into coal-gasification/combined-cycle power plants. It has been proven that coal gases are very suitable for low-emission gas-turbine operation. However, the coal gases must have the required purity to prevent corrosion problems and NOx formation from fuel-bond nitrogen. The required fuel quality can be maintained safely and economically by wet-gas-purification system. Coal gases with low heating values can be burned reliably and without significant emission of carbon monoxide and thermal nitrogen oxided by utilizing our newly developed burners in the proven silo-type combustion chambers. The modifications to the gas turbine itself for the fully integrated process are minimal; consequently, the proven reliability of the gas turbine can also be expected for this application. Even subsequent conversion to coal-gas operation from natural gas or fuel oil is possible, provided that this option is taken into account for the properly designed machine house.
