摘要
DNA polymerase-alpha from shoot apices of pea seedlings may be extracted as part of a large multiprotein complex. In this form, the polymerase is strongly inhibited by aphidicolin and N-ethylmaleimide, is moderately inhibited by ATP and is resistant to dideoxy TTP. Other enzymes closely associated with DNA polymerase in the complex include primase, single-strand specific DNA endonuclease, exonuclease, ribonuclease H, topoisomerase I, and DNA-binding activity.
