摘要
A kinetic model for the steady state operation of a multi-enzyme amperometric enzyme electrode is presented. Two examples of this type of electrode, a sucrose sensor and a lactose sensor, are described. The conducting organic salt tetrathiafulvalinium tetracyanoquinodimethanide is used as the electrode material. For the sucrose electrode the response time is 120 s and the response is linear from 0.025 to 11 mM. The lactose electrode shows a linear response between 0.2 and 10 mM with a response time of 4-5 min. For both electrodes, enzyme kinetics are rate limiting.
