摘要
The influence of different grades of polyethylenes and poly[methylene(polyphenyl isocyanate)] (used to precoat the fiber) on the mechanical properties of polystyrene (PS 201 and PS 525) and chemithermomechanical pulp composites have been investigated. Mechanical properties, including impact strengtth of PS 201 based composites, improved when polyethylene was used along with isocyanate, whereas PS 525 based composites performed less well in this respect. Polystyrene itself seems a better partner for isocyanate as a coating component. Copyright © 1990 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
