New rate data for the gas phase reaction of diethylether. n-dipropylether and n-butylether with atomic oxygen (O(P))-P-3 have been obtained using a discharge flow system with mass spectrometric detection. All measurements were performed in an excess of O-atoms at a total pressure between 2 and 10 mbar. In the temperature range of 298 K < T < 873 K the following Arrhenius parameters were obtained: k(diet) = (1.6 +/- 0.3).10(13) exp (- 1531 +/- 150/T) cm3 mol-1 s-1 k(diprop) = (2.0 +/- 0.4).10(13) exp (- 1529 +/- 306/T) cm3 mol-1 s-1 k(dibut) = (2.0 +/- 0.4).10(13) exp (- 1425 +/- 286/T) cm3 mol-1 s-1 These kinetic data are compared with data of other publications.
