摘要
A classical kinetic theory is presented for the drift acid diffusion of diatomic ions in atomic gases under the influence of an electrostatic field. The theory is restricted to non-vibrating ions (rigid rotors) and to electric fields of small and intermediate strengths, where the average energy gained by the ions from the field is insufficient to cause significant vibrational excitation.
