CUTANEOUS METASTASES IN NEUROBLASTOMA

A description is given of a newborn baby with a neuroblastoma of the left adrenal in which cutaneous metastases constituted the prin cipal symptom. Special attention is given to the histological aspects of the tumour and to the histologically demonstrable favourable response to treatment with vitamine B 12, which took the form of a regression of the cutaneous and liver metastases associated with degenerative alterations. In the course of this therapy however a relapse occurred, vitamine li 12 treatment is now combined with cytostatics, resulting again in a slow regression, however the progno sis is still rather uncertain*. © 1968 S.
