A PRELIMINARY LIGHT-CURVE ANALYSIS FOR THE EARLY-TYPE BINARY HD-219634

摘要
Differential B and V light curves are presented for the early-type double-lined binary HD 219634. A model has been fitted to the light curves, and to the light- and radial-velocity curves in combination, using the Wilson-Devinney code which has been adapted to run on a microcomputer. The system is found to be detached, the filling factors (F-i = OMEGA-i/OMEGA-crit) for the two components being F1 = 0.49 and F2 = 0.86. The mass of the primary component appears to be relatively low for its spectral type but is consistent with the derived radius, according to published relationships among those parameters.
