摘要
Studies on simultaneous desulphurization and demineralization of high sulphur Indian coals lignite were carried out using various inorganic reagents, Amongst the various reagents used, H2O2 was found to be most suitable in removing 50-90 wt% of sulphur from coal at room temperature within 10-30 min with minimum destruction of the coal structure. The organic sulphur was found to be difficult to remove. About 50-55 wt% of mineral matter originally present in coal can also be removed simultaneously.
