MICROSOLVATION OF THE BENZENE MOLECULE BY ARGON ATOMS - SPECTROSCOPY AND ISOMERS

摘要
The microsolvation of the benzene molecule by several argon atoms (up to nine) has been investigated using the two-color resonant two-photon ionization technique. Novel results on the S1 <-- S0 6(0)1 frequency shifts and the ionization-efficiency spectra are obtained and compared with the case of solvated larger aromatic molecules. The existence of isomers is demonstrated, even in the 1:2 complex.
