摘要
The agglomeration of magnetite particles in thin layers of decalin-based fluids has been induced by dc fields applied normal to the layer. Discrete needle-shaped aggregations of apparent diameter ≈ 1 μm are formed parallel to the field. Their formation and behaviour as a function of applied field are described. © 1990.
