摘要
The present state of theoretical approaches to electrokinetics of charged surface layers of a finite thickness possessing a friction to hydrodynamic flow penetration is reviewed. Application of the basic rules of irreversible thermodynamics facilitates and generalizes the calculation procedure remarkably. Explicit expressions for the phenomenological coefficients of the electrokinetic phenomena at structured surfaces are presented here for the first time. For a fixed charge density profile, minimizing the electrostatic part of the free energy analytically closed expressions are derived based on solutions of the non-linearized Poisson-Boltzmann equation. © 1990.
