摘要
Analogy of the magnetic fluid stripe patterns and 2D smectic systems is firmly established. On the basis of the analysis of magnetic energy of the stripe pattern the curvature and compressional elasticity constants in dependence on the magnetic fluid volume fraction in the plane layer have been derived. On the basis of the energy expression for large scale deformation field of the magnetic fluid stripe pattern its undulation instability at magnetic field strength increase has been predicted. Further extension of the work towards defect patterns of the magnetic liquid stripe patterns and amphiphile monolayers is discussed.
